What information do we need? And how do we collect it?
We need your contact details, your: Name, phone number, address, and email address. We also need information about your health and age for insurance purposes. You will be emailed a consultation form on your visit or prior to your visit to She is Beauty. We will also use soft consent during phone calls or messages until this form can be filled out
Why do we need it? How will we use and store it? And how long will we retain it?
We need all of the above details to ensure we provide your treatments safely. We also need this information so we are covered for insurance. We will store your details for 7 years from your last appointment after which your information will be shredded/destroyed. Our lawful basis for processing your personal information is 'contract'. This means that we have a legal reason to contact you because we need to to provide you a service. You DO NOT have to share your information with us, but unfortunately that means we can not continue with your treatment/service at She is Beauty.
Your information on consultation forms will be stored on our online booking system OVATU, which take all necessary GDPR precautions. We also have to share your information with our marketing system MailChimp. Both of which I have personally made sure are GDPR compliant.
Our company website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows you to access our website. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. This includes your computer IP address for traffic analysing.
We will occasionally (when we remember!) like to send you information about the running of the salon, any offers we have on at the moment or any new products/services. This will be via email, post, or text.
You DO NOT have to agree to this. This will NOT affect your treatment/service in anyway.
You can also choose your preference for contact for marketing, you can choose text or email, or both. You can use your consultation form to mark this information. You may withdraw consent at anytime by getting in touch with the contact details above or clicking unsubscribe which is available on every email. Or by contacting us to let us know.
Cancellations, No shows and Time Keeping
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are going to be late please let us know asap, you may have to reschedule your appointment and a charge may apply.
If we are ever running late we will do our best to inform you asap (unfortunately it sometimes happens in this business, especially as we are so personal with everyone of our clients) If your appointment is every drastically delayed we will do our best to rectify this is some way with you (we like happy clients!)
Please try to give 48 hours notice (24 hours for members) if you are unable to make your appointment, we now offer a reminder services 24 hours before so there will be no more excepting you 'forgot' your appointment. When you don't turn up we can't try to fill the space meaning we lose business (we are a small business and your appointments feed our families and pay our bills, please respect this and give as much notice as possible!) We offer a 3 strike policy, meaning if you no show or cancel on the day we take note. After 3 strikes your appointments will need to be paid in full before booking is confirmed, this will be non-refundable.
If your are ill with any contagious bugs then please reschedule your appointment, If you turn up ill and pass it to us we can't work meaning we don't get paid. If you have any contagious conditions such as: verrucas, warts, conjunctivitis, lice, cold sores etc. It is essential that you let us know in advance as we may not be able to proceed with your treatment due to the risk of cross contamination.
While we appreciate phones are great all sorts of things and you may need to take a important call from time to time, using your phone during your nail appointment can slow us down or affect the quality of our work (which is a big no-no to us!) Please take this time to relax and switch off from day to day stresses.
